Ravens Host Red-Hot Titans in Divisional Round

Ravens

By Joe Schiller

If there's a team as hot as the Baltimore Ravens, it's the opponent they'll be hosting on Saturday night. The No. 6 seed Tennesee Titans, fresh off their 20-13 upset win over the New England Patriots head to Baltimore for the divisional round.

After the Houston Texans survived the Buffalo Bills 22-19 in overtime on Saturday afternoon, all signs pointed to a rematch in Baltimore. Not until Mike Vrabel and the Titans played spoiler to a disappointing season for the Patriots.

Ryan Tannehill only threw for 72 yards, but Derrick Henry rush for 182 in a dominant performance on the round. The NFL's leading has been as dominant as any running back in the league over the last seven games.

Baltimore and Tennesee haven't played each other this season. And despite the seeding being in the Ravens' favor, the Titans are playing better than a No. 6 seed right now.

Ryan Tannehill has re-emerged since being traded to Tennessee in the offseason. The Titans have won games playing physical, slugfest football. It's almost reminiscent to the early years with John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco.

But it's easy to forget the Ravens have won 12 straight games. They're going to be playing at home, and the Titans have yet to face Lamar Jackson in person.

Make no doubt the Titans are a formidable opponent. But even though Jackson and company have had close to three weeks of rest, I expect them to come out ready to play.
