The Ravens will now have until July 15th to finalize a new deal with Judon. If a deal cannot be reached, Judon would play all of 2020 under the franchise tag.

The franchise tag value for linebackers is projected to be worth $16.26 million.

Judon, 27, led the team with 9.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, and 33 quarterback hits. Extending Judon long-term would be ideal for Baltimore, as he's clearly their best pass rusher.

Additional rumors link a possible trade involving Judon, in order to get compensation for the star edge rusher.

Head coach John Harbaugh has praised Judon's as an "anchor" of the Ravens defense.

“He’s proven who he is as a football player,” Harbaugh said. “He’s established himself as one of the top outside linebacker, pass-rusher, edge-setters in the National Football League right now, which was his goal to do. He’s done it, and I’m proud of him.”

Judon mentioned earlier this offseason his love for Baltimore. “I love this organization, it’s the only organization I’ve played for. I’m comfortable here; I have family here; I already know the house I’m going to get if I sign [laughter>. But that’s up to upstairs.”
