Oriole fans received an update on Trey Mancini's health status today as he successfully underwent surgery to remove a malignant tumor from his colon. Lab tests and a timetable won't be known until next week. In the meantime, Trey and his family appreciate all of the support and the respect for his privacy.

— Baltimore Orioles (@Orioles) March 12, 2020Some have asked why Trey Mancini, at 27, received a colonoscopy. Well, thank goodness he was a pro athlete. His routine spring physical showed lower-than-normal iron levels and he was feeling washed out. That led to battery of tests, including colonoscopy, which found the tumor.
