David Hess was just 82 pitches into his first start of the 2019 season before his jaw dropped. The 25-year-old had a no-hitter going through 6.1 IP on Monday night against the Blue Jays before his manager Brandon Hyde decided to take Hess out of the game. Hess was shocked by the decision but he ultimately understood why it was made.

David joined Scott Garceau & Ken Weinman today on 105.7 The Fan to talk about what led to his uptick in velocity, how he managed to get into such a groove last night and he also shared what the conversation was like on the mound between he and his manager Brandon Hyde.
