The MLB amateur draft is right around the corner as the Orioles plan on using that as a pipeline for talent in their rebuild. Speaking of pipeline's, Jim Callis from MLB Pipeline joined Scott & Jeremy to talk about the 2019 draft class.

Callis had nothing but high praise for Oregon State Catcher Adley Rutschman who is expected to go first overall to the Orioles. Jim said he had a really hard time finding a flaw in Rutschman on and off the field and he also broke down how every draft pick has an assigned draft value.

The Orioles definitely need some help on their pitching staff and this years draft class doesn't appear to be the best group of talent to try and improve in that area as Callis said, "it really might be the worst crop I've ever seen of college first round worthy pitchers in 30 years of covering the draft."
