The Orioles are in the first week of Spring Training as the pitchers and catchers have been in Sarasota since Tuesday. New Oriole pitching coach Doug Brocail has been down there evaluating the talent and he checked in with Scott & Jeremy to share some insight on his new job.
Brocail emphasized building relationships with his players and the coaching staff. He values developing pitchers at the minor league and major league level. He spoke about the importance of having some veteran leadership in the locker room and he also joked about how when things go wrong, hitting and pitching coaches are the first people fans want to see fired.
