The Orioles have new faces all across the organization and Don Long is one of them. He's the new hitting coach after coming over from the Cincinatti Reds and he joined the Scott & Jeremy show today live from Sarasota to give us an update on Orioles Spring Training.
Don echoed what Mike Elias and Brandon Hyde have preached; building relationships and communicating. Of course, the big question for Oriole fans is if Chris Davis can redeem himself after last years historically horrible season. Don talked about how he plans to approach Davis' struggles along with other hitters on the team.
He gave us his first impressions of young prospects Yusniel Diaz and Ryan Mountcastle and he also discussed the short turnaround from full squad workouts to the teams first Spring Training game.
