The baseball season is in full swing and we’ve got you covered with all things Baltimore Orioles here on 105.7 The Fan. General Manager of the Orioles, Mike Elias, did a pregame presser today where he dropped some breaking injury news. Elias told reporters that veteran First Baseman Chris Davis underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left hip labrum.
Elias mentioned that the recovery time is typically in the range of 4-5 months.
Jason and Ken discussed what this means for Davis and the Orioles relationship going forward. Have we seen the last of Chris Davis? Time will tell but we can safely assume that we’ve seen the last of Davis for the 2021 season.
In addition to the Chris Davis injury news, Mike Elias also told reporters that INF Richie Martin will be placed on the IL after finding out that he has a fracture in his radius bone in his left wrist. Elias believes his recovery time will be 8-12 weeks.
