The MLB Draft is coming up and we’ve got you covered with all things Baltimore Orioles here on 105.7 The Fan. The Orioles Director of Player Development Matt Blood joined Inside Access to talk about the upcoming draft.
Matt joined Inside Access to discuss how involved he’s been in the draft process, what prospects he may have his eye on, and Ken also asks Matt about some of the top prospects in the Orioles farm system. Matt told Ken that this is a busy time for him and the rest of the front office leading into the draft as they prepare to pick the players that will help turn this rebuild into a quality team. Matt also talked a little about Gunnar Henderson and his struggles as of late in the minors. Matt said he’s glad that Gunnar is going through struggles so he can see him fight his way out of it.
Matt and the Orioles are preparing for the MLB Draft which will take place from July 11-13 in Denver, Colorado.
