Cedric Mullins and Jorge Mateo were among the best in baseball when it came to stealing second and third last season. Mateo finished first while Mullins was No. 2 in the American League with 35 and 34 stolen bases, respectively.

Now with larger bases being implemented this year, their stats could grow even more. Nathan Ruiz, of The Baltimore Sun, joined Vinny & Haynie to talk about that and more from Orioles spring training

While Ruiz mentioned Mullins and Mateo still needed to get on base to take advantage of the shorter basepaths, he did say he liked what he's seen early on in camp.

"Cedric's looked really good this spring, at least in the back field work I've seen just given the preparation he's had to put in to go to the WBC," Ruiz detailed.

Mullins has also been working hard to improve his hitting versus left-handed pitching, according to Ruiz. The Orioles' center fielder has gone deep in live batting practice versus lefties.
