Mike Elias has used the phrase "pointed in the right direction" this spring when asked about a timetable on pitchers John Means and Kyle Bradish. He has been careful to never nail down a timetable, but did offer a bit more insight into both pitchers Thursday on The Big Bad Morning Show.

Means spent most of last season working back from Tommy John surgery and missed the ALDS with elbow soreness. Bradish has been dealing with an injury to his throwing elbow since early in spring training. Elias shared optimism for both guys.

"I talked early in spring training about how things were pointed in the right direction and that's only improved since since then, Elias said. "Things continue to be pointed in the right direction and now we're over a month into this."

Elias was careful to warn against potential setbacks, saying they weren't over the hump with anyone yet, but rehad was showing reasons for positivity.

"Right now we're trying to get both of those guys back on the front end of the season," Elias started, "hopefully not too deep into the first half."
