Ryan Mountcastle got off to a slow start at the beginning of the season but has since caught fire causing his name to pop up in the rookie of the year talks. Ryan who hit another homerun last night in the win against the Astros joined Inside Access today.
Ryan joined Jason and Ken to talk about his hot stretch, his mentality as the season has gone on and how he keeps his spirits up when he does go through tough stretches. When talking about what turned his season around, Ryan jokingly credited his father for serving him Italian ice from his new snow cone spot. Ryan told the guys he never got too down on himself during his slump and isn’t getting too high now that he’s playing well.
Ryan Mountcastle is currently batting .269 with 14 HRs and 45 RBIs.
