Michigan fans have been buzzing all night Monday as hours of anticipation for the College Football National Championship quickly turned to jubilation.

Donovan Edwards rattled off a 41-yard touchdown on the Wolverines’ first drive of the game before going for a 46-yard score on their next offensive drive to give Michigan an early 14-3 lead over Washington.

Not long after the Wolverines extended their lead to 17-3, head coach Jim Harbaugh got quite the in-game surprise on the sideline.

He got a hug and exchanged brief words with his brother, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who was late arriving to Houston due to a weather-related flight delay.

John Harbaugh, former Michigan defensive coordinator Mike McDonald and other Ravens brass were forced to land in Austin, Texas due to stormy weather in the Houston area, according to multiple reports.

The Wolverines took a 17-10 lead into halftime after the Huskies capitalized on a Wolverines turnover-on-downs near midfield late in the second quarter.
