The Jets are the next opponent for the Ravens, coming up Sunday at home, and while Gang Green had an extra three days off after a Thursday night tilt with the Pats…uh, that might not matter if the coach isn’t going to give much of anything in terms of team updates?
"Whatever (Aaron Glenn) is gonna do at his quarterback position, I hope that the league implores him to be more forthcoming about it, because there's so much more I wanted to jump on with Justin Fields,” Jason La Canfora said on Friday’s Inside Access. “Those player props largely didn't come out until hours before kickoff, because he was propagating this farce that it was going to be anybody other than Justin Fields.”
Indeed, Glenn, the Jets’ freshman coach, has been coy about his QB1 for weeks now, playing off of both Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor, but the bigger problem is that Fields was dominant on the game’s first drive, and then…
“The first drive, Fields ran all over them, and I think Fields could have had 100 yards rushing in this game if they had run him 15 times. And you might say, well, that's a lot, but the owner despises him – like no one there cares about him,” JLC said. “So, why don't you utilize him the most you can to win the game within reason? I'm not saying 20 carries, but go look at Fields. He's run the ball 10-plus times before and try to sustain something that way.”
We’ll see what we get on Sunday, but one thing is clear to JLC:
“They’re a terrible football team and I don't think Aaron Glenn's gonna be their coach next year,” La Canfora said. “I mean, the Jets are a really tough watch. The Jets are a bad operation. The Jets’ owner is a total and complete clown.”
