Either the Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers have been involved in three of the last five postseason games with a spread of at least 10 points. And in all three games, the favorite covered.

If that continues for Saturday’s wild-card matchup, the Ravens will advance to the divisional round with a victory of at least 11 points.

As of Tuesday’s NFL odds at BetMGM, the Ravens are a 10-point favorite. It’s currently the largest spread of the weekend and would ensure a sixth straight postseason with at least one double-digit spread.

With the Ravens’ cover in a blowout win over the Houston Texans last season, favorites improved to 15-10 against the spread since 2004. While the ATS ROI is 15.5% over that time, those same teams haven’t been profitable on the moneyline.

Big favorites are 21-4 outright in the last 20 years, but the four losses have been bad enough to catapult the ROI to approximately -2%.. The Ravens are the most recent 10-point favorite to lose the game; they lost to the Tennessee Titans as a -450 moneyline favorite in January 2020.
