The Capitals will welcome fans back to Capital One Arena beginning with their April 27 home game against the New York Islanders, the organization announced on Monday.
After more than a year without fans, the Capitals will play in front of 2,100 fans — a D.C. government-imposed limit of 10 percent of the venue's capacity — on April 27, with the organization giving tickets to a pre-selected group of first responders and frontline workers of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As for the remainder of Washington's regular season games, priority will be given to season ticket holders, who will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets through a pre-sale. If any single-game tickets remain after that priority seating window, availability for a general public sale will be communicated at a later date.
In preparation for fans returning, the Capitals also announced extensive upgrades in safety protocols, including health screenings, mobile-only tickets and seating pods. Click here for more information.
