This year's NHL season is just as unprecedented as last year's, as team's play against the same 7 opponents in nearly empty arenas. The league realigned it's divisions for the 2021 season, forcing teams to play teams they're somewhat-geographically close to. For the Capitals, that mean's they're seeing teams like the Bruins, Penguins, and Flyers eight times before heading to the playoffs. One may think that stiff competition would be good for the Caps, but right now, they're scuffling and the hits keep coming each night. While they're still in second place in the East, keeping pace will be key if they want to be one of the four teams from the division that make the playoffs.n

On Thursday morning, Joe Beninati, TV voice of the Caps, joined the Big Bad Morning Show to discuss the Caps recent struggles. Could this rough patch actually help the Caps in the long run? Joe also breaks down which teams have impressed him this season and shares his thoughts on what it's like to watch the same teams play over and over again each night.
