Spring training is in full swing for the Baltimore Orioles and we’ve got you covered all day every day here on 105.7 The Fan. Inside Access has continued to play segments of their extended interview with Chairman and CEO of the team John Angelos and today they aired part six.
Today’s section of the interview with John touched on the Orioles rebuild situation, the job of Mike Elias and the Chris Davis and Trey Mancini contract situation in Baltimore. When talking about the job Mike Elias has done to this point, John told Jason and Ken that he is very pleased with the job Elias and Sig Mejdal have done to this point. He touched on the recognition they’ve gotten nationally and mentioned that while that doesn’t prove anything, it’s still good to see. When asked about Chris Davis’s future in Baltimore, John told the guys that Chris is a part of Elias and Brandon Hyde’s plan as far as he knows.
John told the guys that Trey Mancini’s contract extension negotiations will be handled by Mike Elias and his team.
