As you know, a few of our 106.7 The Fan hosts also take part in Monumental Sports Network’s AltCasts for Wizards and Capitals games, but a funny thing happened on the way to the Forum (or Cap One Arena, as it were) this weekend.
JP Flaim was part of the Wizards’ broadcast Friday with JP Finlay and Cakes was on the Caps’ cast on Saturday…and former Caps coach Bruce Boudreau asked Johnny who he was?
Cakes and Bruce have apparently known each other for a while but was coach big-timing Johnny?
“I think it was two times from what I remember,” Cakes said as the guys played the audio of Boudreau big-timing him.
Apparently, people being put on the spot is a hallmark of AltCasts, as JP Finlay did it to JP Flaim once with Greivis Vazquez, too, so the Junks are a little out of their element.
