Baseball season is upon us and we’re getting you ready for opening day everyday here on 105.7 The Fan. Former Oriole and MLB Network’s Billy Ripken joined Inside Access to talk some baseball.
Billy joined Jason and Ken to talk about the Orioles rebuild, the battle of the NL West and the ongoing battle between the MLB and the MLBPA. Billy told the guys that while there are examples of teams tearing it down and building it back up, he’s not the biggest fan of the method. Billy said he’s just not a fan of setting out multiple seasons to lose 100 plus games. When talking about the Padres, Billy said that he is intrigued by the new look Padres and specifically to see if Fernando Tatis Jr. will be able to live up to the contract. Billy also mentioned that he doesn’t expect Tatis to play out his contract in San Diego.
The Orioles are set to play their first spring training game on Sunday.
