The New York Yankees advanced past the ALDS by defeating the Cleveland Guardians Tuesday, but Bob Costas will not be moving onto the ALCS with them.
Brian Anderson -- the television voice of the Milwaukee Brewers -- will be the play-by-play announcer for the ALCS, as Anthony Rieber of Newsday notes. Anderson is No. 1 voice of baseball on TBS, so this isn't in reaction to some complaints about Costas' performance in the ALDS, it was always planned.

Ron Darling and Jeff Francoeur will be the color commentators for the Yankees-Houston Astros ALCS series on TBS.
Costas -- the 2018 recipient of the Baseball Hall of Fame's Ford C. Frick Award -- will still be part of the network's ALCS coverage, however. The 70-year-old will be the host of the pre and postgame shows on TBS, which is set to feature analysis from Pedro Martinez, Jimmy Rollins and Curtis Granderson.
Joe Davis and John Smoltz are currently calling the NLCS between the Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres for FOX, with Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci serving as the dugout reporters. With Joe Buck having departed FOX for ESPN, Davis will become the national voice of the World Series beginning in 2022.
