(670 The Score) The White Sox are acquiring right-hander Lance Lynn in a trade with the Rangers, ESPN's Jeff Passan reported late Monday night.
Chicago will send rookie right-hander Dane Dunning back to Texas in the deal, ESPN reported.
Lynn, 33, was 6-3 with a 3.32 ERA over 13 starts last season with the Rangers. He posted a 9.54 strikeouts-per-nine mark last season.
Lynn has one season remaining on a three-year, $30-million deal signed with the Rangers prior to the 2019 season.
Dunning, 25, was 2-0 with a 3.97 ERA over seven starts last season. He made his major-league debut in August, emerging as a regular starter in the White Sox rotation.
Dunning was brought to Chicago in December of 2016 as one of the key returns in a blockbuster trade with the Nationals that sent right-handers Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez to the White Sox in exchange for outfielder Adam Eaton.
The White Sox have not yet made the deal official.
