(670 The Score) White Sox slugger Eloy Jimenez was carted off the field during the second inning against the Twins on Saturday after suffering a right hamstring injury.
Jimenez suffered the injury as he hustled out a ground ball to third base. He stretched toward first base and immediately fell to the ground in pain after his right leg landed awkwardly. The White Sox initially cited right hamstring soreness as the injury but didn't provide further details.
Jimenez missed the majority of the 2021 season after suffering a torn pectoral in spring training. He played in just 55 games last season.
The 25-year-old Jimenez was hitting .222 at the time of his injury Saturday.
