While there has been a lot of good this year for the Cleveland Cavaliers, their luck on the injury front hasn't been as fortunate.
A little over a week after Collin Sexton was diagnosed with a torn meniscus, keeping him sidelined for an indefinite amount of time, the Cavs announced that blossoming star Evan Mobley was dealing with an injury of his own — a right elbow sprain — and will likely miss 2-4 weeks of action.

Mobley left Monday night's game against the Celtics in the third quarter of play and did not return. An MRI on Tuesday morning confirmed a right elbow sprain, and his treatment and rehab period will begin promptly.
Mobley has lived up to expectations — and perhaps even surpassed them — as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 draft. He's averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, scoring in a multitude of ways offensively. He's been even more productive on the other side of the ball, as the defense is over 9 points better per 100 possessions when he's on the floor than when he's resting.
Though the injury doesn't help his chances, Mobley sat atop the Kia Rookie Ladder on NBA.com in their last update on November 10, trailed by Raptors forward Scottie Barnes at No. 2 and Pacers guard Chris Duarte in third.
