Richard Jefferson played 17 NBA seasons, most notably with the Nets, and his trash talk with Knicks fans since his career ended has made him a popular target for jeering among the New York fanbase.

Those fans had a chance to let Jefferson hear it when he refereed one quarter of the Knicks/Trail Blazers Summer League matchup, and capitalized on it once Jefferson blew a call.

Early in the quarter, a loose ball seemed to clearly hit off the fingertips of Knicks guard Deuce McBride, but Jefferson signaled that it was New York ball. A fellow official ran over and seemed to tell Jefferson that the ball went off the Knicks, and Jefferson changed his signal that it would remain Portland ball. The crowd made plenty of noise afterward.
