If the Oklahoma City Thunder want the No. 1 pick from the Pistons, they'll have to up their offer.

And this should tell you what the Pistons think of Cade Cunningham.

The Thunder are rumored to have offered the No. 6 pick and budding star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in exchange for No. 1, according to NBA Draft Analyst and former NBA agent Matt Babcock.

The Pistons said no.

Gilgeous-Alexander, 23, is one of the top young players in the NBA. He's coming off a breakout season in which he averaged 23.7 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 42 percent from three, although he missed the second half of the season due to a foot injury. His NBA future is exceedingly bright.

The Pistons must think Cunningham will be better.

Either that, or they're waiting for a better offer to emerge ahead of Thursday night's draft. The Rockets are also said to be 'aggressively pursuing' the No. 1 pick, and they pick No. 2. With Troy Weaver and the Pistons considering three players at the top of the board, they're likely not interested in dropping below No. 3 in a trade.
