CeeDee Lamb just sounds like the name of a star wide receiver in the NFL.

The Cowboys hope that will become a reality after selecting the man whose birth name is Cedarian with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Whether it was Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray or Jalen Hurts throwing him the ball at Oklahoma, Lamb was a superstar in Lincoln Riley's offense. Over the course of three seasons for the Sooners, Lamb hauled in 173 passes for 3,292 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns.

Even in one of the deepest wide receiving classes in NFL history, Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network believes that Lamb will rise to the top of the class, saying that he expects the wideout will be one of the games most dominant pass catchers by his third NFL season.

Here's everything you need to know about the 21-year-old:

Measurables: 6'2, 198 pounds

School: Oklahoma

2019 Stats: 62 catches; 1,327 receiving yards; 15 total touchdowns

Accolades: 2017 ESPN Freshman All-American; 2018 Second-Team All-Big 12; 2019 Consensus All-American; 2019 First-Team All-Big 12

Strengths: Joe Marino of The Draft Network touts Lamb's "exceptional ball skills and elite ability to track the football in the air and adjust," and says that his NFL comp is three-time All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins. Not bad.

Weaknesses: NFL.com's Lance Zierlen says that it is of mild concern that Lamb weighs slightly less than 200 pounds. Theoretically, though he could add 10-15 pounds, which would put him at essentially the same size that Hopkins is. To this point, there's no indication that Hopkins won't have an extended career playing at his size.

Player Comparison: Chad Johnson

While Lamb could bulk up to the size that Hopkins is at, he's already an inch taller and slightly heavier than what two-time All-Pro Chad Johnson played at for much of his career. At his current size, NFL.com's Lance Zierlein is probably pretty spot-on with the comparison to Ochocinco, who racked up over 11,000 receiving yards during an impressive career.
