The veteran signal-caller was placed on the list earlier this week. It had been widely reported previously that Wentz was unvaccinated.

However, it appears he'll be under center for the Colts in Week 16, in what will be one of the first high-profile cases of a prominent player returning to his team under the league's recently revised coronavirus protocols, which were shortened in keeping with those spelled out by the US CDC.

Players were previously required to remain in quarantine for 10 days or until producing two negative PCR tests at least 24 hours apart, but under the new guidance, players can return after five days if they're asymptomatic or feeling better.

Wentz, who turned 29 on Thursday, is in his first year with the Colts following an offseason trade from the Eagles. He's thrown for 3,230 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions through 15 games for Indianapolis. He missed most of the preseason with a foot injury that required surgery, but returned in time for the start of the regular season.

The Colts can clinch a postseason berth with a win over the Raiders on Sunday.
