The Giants are reportedly bringing in their top defensive coordinator candidate after Patrick Graham bolted for Las Vegas.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Big Blue is “planning to hire” former Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale to replace Graham. According to multiple reports, the two sides are finalizing a contract.

Martindale, 58, was Baltimore’s defensive coordinator for the past four seasons, where his teams were among the top rushing defenses in the league in terms of yards allowed, but the passing defense took a major step back this past season. Baltimore was tied for second in the NFL in yards per carry allowed this season, and tops in total rush yards allowed. But it allowed the most passing yards in the league and tied for the third-most passing touchdowns allowed.
Prior to Baltimore, Martindale spent one season as the Broncos defensive coordinator back in 2010.
Other candidates who interviewed for the position included Sean Desai and Jim Schwartz.
