Wearing No. 2, Julio Jones takes field at Titans OTAs for first time

Julio Jones made his Titans debut at Thursday’s practice, appearing in uniform for the first time since his trade to Tennessee. The veteran receiver took the field wearing No. 2, opting for a fresh jersey number after wearing 11 for the entirety of his Falcons tenure. A.J. Brown (who pushed harder than anyone to bring Julio to Nashville) offered his No. 11 to Jones, but he declined.

Jones is coming off a down season—he posted his fewest yards (771) since 2013 while battling various injuries—but led the league with 1,677 (13th-most in NFL history) as recently as 2018. For what it’s worth, the 32-year-old looked plenty healthy at Titans OTAs, showing off his quick footwork in ladder drills and other agility exercises.

Jones’ arrival in the Music City has already had a major impact on betting markets, with Tennessee’s Super Bowl odds increasing from +4000 to +2500 on BetMGM. Meanwhile, the Falcons, in their post-Julio form, face the fourth-longest odds with MGM installing them as +10000 long shots to raise the Lombardi Trophy.
