Gabe Kapler departed Philadelphia after the Phillies' 2019 season. In 2021, he was brought back to the City of Brotherly Love... as the virtual head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Okay, so this isn't really the case, as Nick Sirianni was the man brought in for the job ahead of the 2021 NFL regular season. But a viral post on Reddit, courtesy of user Speedysnail513, shows that Sirianni really doesn't look like Sirianni at all. And the man who immediately came to mind — as noted by Crossing Broad's Kevin Kinkead as well — was none other than Gabe Kapler.
For reference, here are Kapler and Sirianni side by side:

Now, here's a screenshot of Kapler's depi— I mean, Sirianni's depiction in the latest Madden game.
Never mind the strange sweatshirt that would seem to severely restrict Sirianni's breathing and features the all-too-popular upside-down NFL equipment logo that takes up about 50 percent of the front. If you think that this virtual dude looks more like Sirianni than Kapler, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
Other Philly fans on social media saw different people in Sirianni's face, including "every generic coach from Madden 08" and even WWE superstar Roman Reigns and sports analyst Chris Broussard.
Whatever the case may be, it just doesn't really look like Sirianni. I don't think that's all too much of a hot take — it objectively doesn't look like him. Luckily, the game is about much more than how accurate brief glimpses at the head coach are, but we at least have to mention it, right?
