The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ were able to pull out the victory against the Philadelphia Eagles after a late rally comeback attempt from the Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

One of the few negatives for the Bucs occurred in the first quarter when newly signed cornerback Richard Sherman sustained a hamstring injury and did not return for the rest of the game.
According to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Sherman will reportedly miss "a couple weeks” but is not expected to miss the entire season.
This is still bad news for the Bucs, who came to Philly without cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting, safety Antoine Winfield, and linebacker Lavonte David. The Bucs had signed Sherman to a one-year deal to cover for Murphy-Bunting and Davis’ absence.
Sherman, who has five Pro Bowls and three All-Pro selections, was arguably one of the best corners in the league for a period, but now is likely past his prime. Some fans jokingly pointed out that Sherman threw in the towel or actually tweaked his hamstring trying to cover Devonta Smith.
In his first game back in the NFL with the Bucs, Sherman had seven tackles and a fumble recovery against the New England Patriots. He followed up that performance followed that up with three tackles against the Miami Dolphins.
With all the Bucs' injuries in the secondary, it’s likely going to be on Brady and the offense to carry the team for a while until some of their key pieces on defense return.
