The Giants wasted no time letting the rest of the league know Kadarius Toney is on the trading block after missing the team's first voluntary offseason program under new coach Brian Daboll.

According to Pat Leonard of NY Daily News who broke the report, the Giants have made already made calls about what they can get for their former first-round draft pick.

Leonard adds that "there was some internal momentum for bailing on Toney during his tumultuous rookie season a year ago. His commitment came into question behind the scenes during his rookie year due to lack of playbook study, poor meeting behavior and frequent injuries.”

It would be an understatement to say that Toney's rookie season was disappointing. Before ever stepping on a field, Toney started working late in the spring due to a delay in his contract. He also expressed frustration in his role before missing six of the next seven games after dealing with a bout of COVID as well as a shoulder and oblique injury.

Some Giants fans seem fine with Toney moving on, while others still believe in his talent and potential to become an elite receiver in the league.

However, according to Toney's Instagram, the wideout posted a comment about the news on his story, telling his followers to "not believe everything they see on the internet."

Whether the report is true, it's not a good look for Toney to miss any time this offseason getting acclimated to a new offense and head coach. Kenny Golladay made the message very clear when speaking to the media Wednesday but says he hasn't talked to Toney yet.

"I haven’t talked with him. I’m trying to get everything in order myself in terms of learning the playbook…a lot has been on my plate,” Golladay said. “But I’m pretty sure if I talk to [Sterling Shepard] and we holler at him a little bit, he would definitely listen to us.”

Toney, 23, made 39 catches for 420 yards and no touchdowns last season.
