The Alabama Crimson Tide are preparing for Saturday’s game against Southern Miss after coming off a close win over Florida last week.

In a press conference Wednesday evening, Nick Saban was asked about his use of tight end Jahleel Billingsley who was expected to have a major role in the offense, but so far, has only has recorded one catch for 26 yards and a touchdown. His only catch and touchdown came against Florida last week.

Suddenly, Saban got irritated with the reporter that asked the question and threw some serious shade.

“Well he’s doing what he is supposed to do, he’s practiced better, he’s more engaged and he’s more focused on what he is supposed to do and he’s having more positive performance on the field, which is what any player is supposed to do,” Saban replied.

"Did any of you play sports? I mean, the coach is supposed to play the best players, right? Then it’s up to the players to do what they’re supposed to do so they get to play because that means they’re one of the best players now," Saban added. "So that’s what [Jahleel]’s doing now. But maybe if you didn’t play, maybe that’s not something you quite get."

Saban probably has a fair point as he definitely has this coaching thing figured out. With several national championships and nine SEC titles and a bunch of other major awards and accolades to his name, no college coach has arguably been as successful Saban has.

Billingsly is expected to have a bigger role in the Tide’s offense as the season goes along. If Saban is in mid-season form and already yelling at the media after only three games, imagine how irate he would be if they loss.

It's likely not going to happen this week against Southern Miss….or possibly not at all this season.
