Career Goals Number 825 and 826
The Great 8 broke a six-game goal drought with a pair of goals in Washington's 4-1 win over the New York Islanders, scoring in the first to open the scoring and collecting an empty netter to seal the win in the third for his second multi-goal game on the 2023-24 NHL season.
Career Goal Number 827
In a wild one against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ovechkin got the Capitals' third goal of the first period – his fifth on the season – to give Washington a 3-1 edge en route to a 4-3 win.
