What are your thoughts on this current Florida gun bill? The new gun measure involving guns at some churches in Florida is now headed to the floor of the state House.
The bill would allow people with concealed-weapons licenses to take their guns to their place of worship when it shares property with a school.
Currently State law generally allows guns at churches but bans residents from being armed on school property.
Many supporters of the bill say it makes sense to allow worshippers carry even if church on school property.
State Rep. Ramon Alexander said,“I don’t want to have that on my hands -- to know that a church had the opportunity to protect themselves. They are a sitting target."
However, opponents worry the bill would allow people having guns on school property when there is no religious meeting.
What are your thoughts? Should people be allowed to carry concealed guns if the church is housed on school property? ~grace
