Wow who knew we would get good news out of bad news! Last week when the stock market was going crazy over the coronavirus everyone seemed focus only on the negative. Well from that plunge came some good news for drivers: gasoline prices dropped!

Triple AAA is reporting that the recent plunge in the stock market is expected to send crude oil prices to their lowest price in 14 months and some experts say that could translate to as much as a 20% drop in retail gasoline prices.

According to AAA, Florida gas prices dropped 6 cents per gallon in the past week bringing the state average to $2.35 per gallon. The national average for regular gasoline stands at $2.44 per gallon. That may be the average but I've seen gasoline prices as low as $2.13 over on the east side of Orlando.

I hope this coronavirus is soon handled and we get back to normal but in the meantime, I'm driving around and taking advantage of the cheaper gas prices! ~grace
