'Jurassic World: Dominion' shuts down production after positive COVID tests, release pushed to 2022

Jurassic World won’t be reopening its gates anytime soon!

Universal Pictures announced that the upcoming film titled “Jurassic World: Dominion” is being postponed till 2022, per Entertainment Weekly.

The release has been delayed from June 11, 2021 to June 10, 2022.

The sixth film in the franchise shut down production in March when the pandemic initially hit, but was one of the first to resume shooting in the U.K. earlier this summer.

Shortly after the announcement of the postponed the release, Universal halted production on the film for two weeks after a few coronavirus tests from the set came back positive.
