AG Alan Wilson among winners in statewide primaries

Here are results for Statewide and Congressional primary races. Alan Willson carried 67% of the vote over Lauren Martel in the primary for Attorney General. AG Commissioner Hugh Weathers carried 61% over Bill Bledsoe and Bob Rozier. Mark Hammond took the Republican nomination for Secretary of State carrying over 75% of the vote.

There were several U.S. Congressional races in the state that were of hevay focus. In the Republican Primary in the District 1 U.S. Congressional race Nancy Mace clipped Katie Arrington. In District 4, incumbent William Timmons took the nomination , Pastor Mark Burns got 22% of the vote, Mike Lapierre with 15% and George Abuzied with 6%.

Jim Clyburn with a landslide win on the Democratic ticket in District 6. In District 7 , Trump endorsed candidate Russell Fry took 48% in a crowded 7 person field, Tom Rice was 2nd with 24%.
