She famously played a doctor on TV, but now Katherine Heigl is needing medical attention in real life.
The "Grey's Anatomy" alum revealed she is back in Los Angeles for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic and suffered a herniated disk in her neck.
The 42-year-old spoke of her medical news on Instagram, saying that she and husband Josh Kelley flew back from their home in Utah for treatment.
"First trip since the start of the pandemic is back to L.A. to deal with a herniated disk in my neck," Heigl captioned a video of Kelley singing along with the coffee maker in their hotel.
"Thank God for @joshbkelley for not only coming with me to hold my hand but for providing me with some very much needed comedic relief! I mean...only Josh can or would harmonize with the coffee maker! 😏😂"
The "Firefly Lane" star shared a video of Kelley making light of the tense situation while waiting for his wife doctor’s appointment.
"Another @joshbkelley gem. This is definitely the guy you want by your side during a health crisis," she wrote.
"Well ma'am, I've got some bad news," he says in the video while examining Heigl’s scans, adding, "Your brain is absolutely GORGEOUS!"
Heigl poked fun at her husband and admitted that she will mostly likely be attending her next OB-GYN appointment without him.
"Those jokes would just be too far," she said.
The couple have been married since 2007 and share three kids: Joshua Bishop, 4, Adalaide Marie Hope, 8, and Naleigh Mi-Eun, 12.
Heighl played Dr. Izzie Stevens on "Grey's Anatomy" for six seasons, before departing the series in 2010. She currently appears on the Netflix hit "Firefly Lane."
