Nicki Minaj gives birth and welcomes first child to the world: Report

Nicki first announced her pregnancy this past July

Congratulations are in order to Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty as the couple have welcomed their first child into the world.

According to TMZ, Minaj gave birth this Wednesday in Los Angeles. As of writing, the baby’s name and the sex are not known.

Nicki first broke the news of her pregnancy back in July when she pretty much broke Instagram with her viral post showing off her baby bump. “#Preggers” was all that she needed to say.

At the time, fans were speculating that she may have been pregnant after her appearance alongside Tekashi 6ix9ine in the music video for their collaboration “TROLLZ.”

In the video, fans pointed out that Minaj was trying to hide her baby bump by avoiding any shots showing off her stomach.

Minaj and Petty have known each other since their teens and officially tied the knot in October, 2019. According to TMZ’s report, Petty was right by her side when she gave birth.

While she didn’t quite keep her promise of retiring, Nicki did follow through with her desire to start her family.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of mew, in the box – cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE,” she tweeted at the time.
