Divorcing after 25 years of marriage has been a vexed process for legendary rapper, Dr. Dre and ex-wife, Nicole Young.
Earlier this week, the process got even more contentious as Dre was reportedly approached by a process server at a cemetery, while saying goodbye to the women that raised him — his grandmother.
According to TMZ, it’s unclear exactly where Dr. Dre was approached, but regardless of where, his reaction was clear as he refused the paperwork with “anger.”
"Sources connected to Dre tell TMZ ... a process server came up to him at the burial site as Dre was standing by his grandma's casket and tried serving him. Sources connected to Nicole Young tell TMZ... Dre was served in the cemetery's parking lot after the burial.”
Following the confrontation, sources close to Dre said the process server dropped the legal documents by the gravesite, while Nicole’s sources disagreed, claiming the papers were left in the parking lot.
Included in the documents was the judge’s final order of $1,550,000 for divorce attorney fees, an amount that Dre believed was an error when served papers last month. The rapper paid $325,433 and is now being asked for the difference of $1,224,567.
