On Saturday April 24, LeBron James took to Twitter to simply say what we’ve all been thinking… we “need” new music from Kendrick Lamar.

Actually, what he said was that he misses the “HUMBLE” rapper and that he’s “in dying need of his gifts/presence right now.” Which is also facts, but why we’re particularly hype about it is because the last time James tweeted that Lamar needed to drop new music, it umm, well it worked.

In 2016, the GRAMMY winner was performing a series of unreleased tracks during the televised show. James tweeted that that he needed to release the songs, tagging Lamar and his label chief executive, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, and a week later he did - calling the collection Untitled Unmastered.

Because of this fans are suspecting that something epic this way comes, and it’s about DAMN time (lol get it). Coincidentally, last week marked four years since Kendrick dropped, DAMN, which he directly followed up by spearheading the curation of the 2018 Black Panther soundtrack. Since then, fans have been entirely deprived of new music from him.

With Bron’s predilection for predicting such things, or as we and said fans suspect as just being in the know, they're replying to James’ tweet with reactions and guesses as to when this new music will drop.

“Lebron the A&R just told us Kendrick is coming with some summer heat I fear,” said one fan. Another user noted what happened in 2016, “The last time you made a post like this we got Untitled Unmastered. Maaaaaan thank you Bron.”
