The No Limit Records founder linked up with Greg Street in Atlanta recently to preview the upcoming trek, which serves as a historic, final opportunity to see these legendary rosters perform together. “This is gonna be the last time you probably see all of us on the stage at one time,” P admits during his sitdown with Street. “So this is a celebration. This ain't just a concert for us, you know this is a celebration."
No Limit Records didn’t happen by accident, it was built on the business acumen of Master P. The multihyphenate compares his management style to that of modern tech giants like Google and Meta, highlighting how he provided his artists with housing, vehicles, and financial security before they even achieved widespread success.
“I was like, ‘I believe in y'all,’” he shares. “I'm gonna take care of you, make sure you got somewhere to stay, make sure you got a car, make sure you got some money in your pocket before you even sold a record, because I knew what we was gonna do.”
He stressed that his primary strategy was to build the ‘No Limit’ brand so that it was often larger than the individual artists themselves, a feat accomplished through aggressive, non-traditional marketing. “"Marketing is the key. I tell people all the time 10% is your talent, 90% is the business, the marketing, the promotion, and so a lot of artists don't understand.”
