The online petition calls to "drain, clean and restore" the historical lake, however, she revealed to V-103's Big Tigger Morning Show that she has received a lot of backlash for pursuing the draining of this lake.

"If you wanna wake up and shake up and cause an Instagram insurrection, file a petition regarding that lake. I have not gotten more threats," she started, explaining that since drafting the petition a lot of people have attacked her for trying to do so.

But regardless of the threats, the statistics are what stand true to her and motivate her to continue moving forward. "At the end of the day they've had 700 deaths, I cant even count how many more injuries and near deaths. People have lost leg and limb out there... They need to set up better regulations," she said.

"I didn't believe that people would be upset about it because its an improvement," she said. "I'm not saying dry it out and lets build a skating rink... They act like I wanted to clear the lake and put something frivolous up there, I'm saying lets improve the lake."

Recalling the incident that happened with her 11-year-old son Kile Glover, she stated for the record that she wasn't there when the incident happened. While floating on a tube in the lake, a jet ski crashed into Kile leaving him in the ICU and on life support where he was declared brain dead. Two weeks later he passed away.

Aside from her petition, Tameka released a memoir, Here I Stand In A Beautiful State, where she details the up and downs of her life. "I have been through a lot of stuff, to hell and back," she said. The book dives in to her marriages, divorces, losing her son and mother, and much more.
