While everyone knows Hulk Hogan for his self-torn yellow tanktops, his larger-than-life personality and, yep, calling everyone BROTHER, it's easy to overlook Hogan's technical abilities inside the ring. For all the Hulkamaniacs out there, we've put together his most devastating signature moves and moments.
The Big Boot
Getting Hogan's big yellow or red boot to the face will leave you an open target. Usually coming near the end of a match, it was a precursor to the next big move on this list.
The Leg Drop
If you're in the ring with the Hulkster and you get the running leg drop, things aren't going well. This was Hulk's signature finishing move, and well into the deep end of his 35-year career, it was also a symbol of the old-guard style he brought into the new school, generation after generation.
The Axe Bomber
While Hogan's Leg Drop was his finisher in the States, The Axe Bomber was the showstopper during his tenure in New Japan Pro-Wrestling from 1980 to 1985. Hulk, who the Japanese nicknamed "Ichiban," which translates to "Number One," used this crooked arm lariat, a kind of charging clothesline on steroids, as his signature.
Fingerpoke of Doom
The Fingerpoke of Doom was an infamous moment in Hogan lore. It happened in a match on "Nitro," WCW's flagship program, when Hulk gave Kevin Nash a poke on the chest to win a match and unify the two factions of the New World Order (nWo) into one villainous group.
The Body Slam
Throughout his extensive career, Hogan matched off with a lot of legends. The biggest of them all was Andre the Giant. In a match now referred to by fans as David & Goliath, Hulk Hogan managed to pick up the 7'4", 529-pound Andre for a body slam that led to his unlikely win.
