During the 54-year-old’s set at Lincoln Financial Field for the 18th show of his Here And Now Tour, Chesney sustained an injury to his hand that had it gushing blood. While it’s unclear what exactly happened to cause the injury, Chesney clearly wasn’t worried about it as he kept the show going.

Like the pro he is, Chesney continued singing through the drama as a medical team member rushed on stage to bandage him up. Fans flooded social media with praise for Kenny and his dedication following the show.

“I don’t get nervous anymore about something happening on stage because pretty much everything has happened and I know that there are things that are going to happen,” Kenny told Audacy’s Katie Neal ahead of embarking on his Here And Now Tour.

He continued, “I’m gonna forget the words, or I’m gonna fall or somebody’s gonna do something…. But I do get anxious to get up there and connect.”

Sounds like  Kenny’s cool, calm and collected mindset going into the tour paid off and “bloody hand” is just another thing he can add to the list of things that have happened on stage.
