It has been about a week since all the drama unfolded between the Yankees and Blue Jays in Toronto — with the Yankees getting the last laugh and winning three of four — but much of the absurdity is still fresh in the minds of some fans.
In particular, was Blue Jays manager John Schneider yelling, “shut up, fat boy” to Yankees assistant hitting coach Brad Wilkerson.
While the Yankees’ clubhouse has reportedly had some fun with it, Boone was not thrilled with Schneider’s trash talk.
“It was uncalled for,” Boone told “Talkin’ Yanks” on Tuesday. “But [Wilkerson’s] taken it all in stride. We’re trying to keep it all in our dugout and our clubhouse. Maybe there’s been a little fun with it, but we don’t like that shaming.”

Schneider made his quip after tensions rose last week between Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas and the Blue Jays dugout, which was trying to get him back in the coach’s box.
The Blue Jays had questioned why the Yankees base coaches were so far out of the box after the previous night’s game when Aaron Judge was caught glancing at the dugout — which some in Toronto felt was because the coaches were relaying signs to the dugout of the pitch that was coming.
Rojas took exception and things boiled over, with Schneider yelling, “shut up, fat boy” toward the Yankees dugout.
The Yankees ultimately won the game — courtesy of a go-ahead two-run home run from Judge — and the series and now enter Tuesday in third place in the AL East while the Blue Jays have fallen to last.
