Why does veteran slugger Joc Pederson wear pearls during MLB action on the biggest stage, as the Braves look to continue their postseason run? Because he's a "bad b----," says Pederson himself, and we'll take his word for it.

And why does he crush titanic home runs at a torrid rate throughout the playoffs while rocking those very pearls? Well, first you should watch the blast itself, his third of the postseason and the farthest one that he's hit all year:

That 454-foot shot beat out his 435-foot blast that he hit while still a member of the Cubs back in June. After setting his season-high in terms of pure power, he set out to find a new nickname. "Bad b----" was just too tame, and he decided to take it up another notch. And the TBS broadcast, we might add, didn't exactly make it difficult to hear — or see, thanks to the replay — what was said. WARNING: It's quite NSFW.

Well, he's right you know. After all, his game-tying home run in Game 2 of the NLCS on Sunday night is his third of the postseason, as I previously mentioned, and boosts his already-impressive playoff slash line to .416/.416/1.167. We're in the heart of Joctober, and Braves fans couldn't be any happier with how their July acquisition is performing.
