DJ Moore still thinking playoffs despite Bears' 0-2 start

The Chicago Bears have stumbled out of the gate, but that hasn’t impacted DJ Moore’s mindset. He plans to be playing well into January.

The Bears are winless through two games, falling 27-17 to the Bucs on Sunday. Thus far they’ve lost by way of a shellacking at the hands of the Packers and a backbreaker against Tampa. The Bears were down just three moments before the two-minute warning, at which point a Shaq Barrett pick-six sealed Chicago’s fate.

The Bears did show a more life in Week 2. Moore was more involved in the offense, and Chicago got through the first quarter with the lead. But things unraveled from there, a reminder that the Bears are very much a work in progress.

The 0-2 start might not come as an enormous surprise to many, but Moore was asked Monday on the Mully & Haugh Show what he would say to Bears fans who wonder if there are any signs of hope. It’s clear his confidence is not yet wavering

“I’d be like hell yeah (there are signs of hope),” Moore said. “It's only 2 weeks into the season. We got a long, long season — plus some, because I plan on making the playoffs with the Bears.”

It would be concerning if one of the top weapons didn't have playoff aspirations this early in the season. That said, for such a plan to come to pass this year, the Bears are going to have to right the ship soon.
